Altruism...

I am in no support to altruism as it is defined by Ayn Rand...and i do believe that whatever situation we are in, we are ourselves responsible for it. so blaming the circumstances is teh lamest thing to do ever. Circumstances are nothing but mere references of times when you behave most irrationaly.
As far as those people are concerned who are believed not to have 'got' enough oppurtunities in life..I would say you have to find oppurtunity for yourself, and if not found, create it. Society having pity on those people doesnt sounds good to me. Roark never got any oppurtuniy from the society..he held up to his ideas.
Also I support that every act has soem self interset motivation in it.
More facts that disregard altruism are defined in Atlas Shrugged...the basic gist saying that even TAlas should not selflessly bear the load of the earth!
I would like to discuss more about Atlas Shrugged..which i feel is a refined version of Fountainhead.

Wat say?

Slowly I am beginning to believe what u are saying, and agreeing with it at the same time. "Blaming the circumstances is a lame thing to do". Disagreeing with Ayn Rand was a passtime..once...

Holding upto ones ideas is the gist of Jhonathan Livingston Seagull too.
But I do not agree to the presence/existence of the Atlas. Altruism is not just impractical, its impossible in human limits... I think...
..will comment on your other blog too..

wat do u think abt fortune, luck etc ?

however, i guess everyone has enuf fortune (which will lead to enuf good circumstances). its just that we need to be awake during the right time.
excuse me if its confusing, nice read though.

Luck is what can be defined as right step taken at right time with the right kind of effort...and that is (I think) what you mean to say that we need to be awake during the right time.
Fortune is in how many trials we get what we want...and that depends on the way we try.
Iam not saying that everything that happens in life can be rationalised, but most of the things can be.
Thanks!
